About Me

- There are three things that I am passionate about; my family, my career and continuous learning. Luckily, the last two go hand in hand. This blog will inform its guests about some of the things I have encountered as an ABE instructor.

End of session 2
This week is the last week of session 2, and the last week of classes prior to the Holidays. Margaret and I spent Friday afternoon decorating the classroom and our door attempting to instill a little bit of the festive mood. Saturday I went and picked up decorations for the hallway. I hope the students enjoy them.

We should have taken pictures of the beautiful hallways after the students completed hanging the snowflakes! The morning and evening holiday parties were also enjoyed by all. These parties are so good for instilling a sense of community within our learners. It always feels so much like a big, happy family when we celebrate together! I think that it really helps with retention as well.
ReplyDeleteTime for some well-deserved rest before the all-important "THIRD QUARTER!
Happy Holidays!
